Slow Cooker Mixes-Greek Pilaf Mix-Salt Free
One of my favorite slow cooker mixes! Our trip to Greece inspired this side dish and the blended herbs. Their usage of oregano and mint together gives this its classic flavor. I also use this in my Dolmas (stuffed cabbage leaves) using dill as another dimension of flavor. A lovely blend of long grain rice, onion flakes, garlic, celery seed, sunflower seeds, mint, thyme, oregano, basil, marjoram parsley and lemon
Recipe for: Greek Pilaf
1 package Souper Spices-Greek Pilaf Blend
1 TB extra virgin olive oil
1/4 c. dried currants (Optional)
1 tsp salt (optional)
2 C water or stock
