Mulled Cider Blend

Souper Spices Old Fashion Mulled Cider Blend (or wine)-When I think of my first time trying this blend, it breings back so many wonderful memories of chugging up the Genesse River during the fall to see the colors. I must say we all had a wonderfyl time and the mulled wine would keep us all warm. It was wonderful!

*Cinnamon chips, orange peel, allspice, star anise, ginger and cardamom. Four  2 Tbsp. servings. Net wt 2.0oz (56g)

Free Recipe Included: Old Fashion Mulled Cider Or Wine

My Mother-in-law, Mary Jane, whipped this up for the parents taking their children trick or treating. It usually was the last stop of the evening and the party began. Cider can be substituted for the wine.

2 Tbsp. Souper Spices-Mulled Wine Blend
½c brown sugar
1c unsweetened pineapple juice
½c water
¼ c orange juice
Orange slices
4c dry red wine
Cinnamon sticks

Place Souper Spices in a tea ball or tie up in cheese cloth. In a large kettle, combine spices, brown sugar (omit for cider), pineapple juice, water, orange juice and orange slices. Bring to a boil and simmer 20-30 minutes. Add wine and reheat but do not boil. Pour into cups and serve with cinnamon sticks. This is great!
