- 1 c Tri-colored Couscous
- 2 tsp basil
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tsp garlic
- 1 Tbsp chives
- 1 Tbsp butter, margarine or olive oil
- 1 1/4 Cups water, vegetable or chicken broth
Or to make your life easier, you can purchase my Couscous Caprese and have it on hand for unexpected company! All you need is the butter, water and my mix.
In saucepan, stir in broth oil or butter. Bring a boil. Remove from heat. Simply add all ingredients, give a quick stir and cover for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and salt and pepper to taste. This is delicious hot or cold! Try adding combinations of kalamata olives, artichoke hearts, bell peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, capers or even feta cheese. Delicioso!
